I Read The Book Because The Author Wrote It, Not Because Of Who Published It.

It has taken me days to be able to sit here and write this post, and well it just tears at my heart to have to be sitting here taking time away from reading and reviewing amazing books for you all But this This here has to be said. So for most of you who follow and read my posts let me say THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU. Now I am not sure how many that truly is but just know it means a lot to me.

So now on to my post. A while back I was introduced to an amazing Author, Woman, Mother to a wonderful little girl, And a Wife to an amazing supporting Husband. This lady who should remain anonymous sits at home being a mother and a wife first but than she is a author. This is how she makes money. as many bloggers and reviewers as well as authors out there know that the best way for a author to get sales are by us bloggers and reviewers who read and review as well as promoting their book.

Now I have had my share of books I have read that I did not like and for the most part only a few was published. Than I had a few books that well lets face it I almost rewrote the book in my own words in a review. But I have come a long way since than.

So you all know about Dear Authors post on  The Curious Case of Ellora’s Cave Well I think that post was no way in the wrong at all. See they had the documentation to prove everything they said in that post so why would Ellora's Cave (EC) be mad? Well I can see why, Its bashing them making them look bad but as they always say it is what it is. Now the woman I know is a signed author with EC and Well I have a lot of books from a lot of authors at EC. The woman was so happy to get signed with them but in the 8 months she has barely gotten any where with them and as of a month ago they even gave her rights back to a MS they had of her's Which was amazing as it's being said that most authors are not getting their right's back now. Anyways thats someone elses story to tell not mine. The reason I am saying any of this at all is because well, it has come to my knowledge that now not only are bloggers and reviewers Bashing EC because of all this mess and drama. But they are bashing other bloggers and reviewers who are still reading and reviewing for signed authors that belong to EC. I do not know about you but this is what I feel needs to be said I read A book because the AUTHOR WROTE the book, NOT BECAUSE of who PUBLISHED THE BOOK. About a week ago I read a book from this amazing Author She was signed with EC Did i Mention she has only been signed 8 months she had no clue any of the drama was going down it is not her fault Any ways I read her book and i left an amazing 5 star review ( it has already been taken down sorry) in a 3 hour time frame i had 33 comments from 25 people well lets take a little trip down my blog here first off the most comments I have ever received on a blog post or review was like 1 or 2 3 at the most. so as I was getting these notifications on my phone that my post received a comment I was ecstatic now I could not check them right than and there as 20 of them came in a 30 min time frame  so by the time I managed to get to a computer and check all these comments I thought were going to be wow's and amazing type comments I was confronted with very distasteful comments saying I was wrong for supporting a company who wants to steel from Authors and what not. I have never in my time stole from an author and I never will. I guess its taking me a long time to understand what a Publishing company does and why it matters who published an authors book for them. Its not like i go to the book store and ask do you have any books from this publishing company? No I go in and I ask do you have any books from this Author or Can you order them for me if not? thats how I see it.

So this post needs to come to an end because well it just really hurts that I had to take down a review that did not deserve to be taken down in the first place I want you all to know this I DO NOT CARE WHAT PUBLISHING COMPANY PUBLISHED A AUTHORS BOOK IF I READ IT I AM READING BECAUSE OF THE AUTHOR NOT THE PUBLISHING COMPANY. I will be re-posting my review in a few days and this time I DO NOT CARE what people say this is for the author you do not have to like the books i read but you also do not need to make distasteful comments as well. Please keep to your self if you have nothing nice to say.

If I lose any of you as a follower I understand. I just needed to let this out

Thank you if you are still with me and support me in this

Till Death(#1, Logan's Lonestar Series)
Cover Reveal- Oct. 22nd
Release Date: Nov. 10th

TILL DEATH (#1, Logan's Lonestar Heroes)

Blurb:

Dave Logan, owner of Deep Six Security, is stunned when former Dallas FBI head, Susan Whitmore, darkens his doorstep accusing him of being the cause of her losing her job. After hearing her situation, Dave feels something he never expects to feel--sorry for her. But he also knows any problems she had at the agency were all her own fault. The woman has a tongue so sharp it could rip a man to shreds, and had many times. There was a reason her agents dubbed her the Barracuda.

Although Dave needs agents in the worst way, and Susan, with an IQ higher than Einstein, better skills and more experience than any of his men, along with a master's degree in criminal justice, is more than qualified to be a member of his team, he just doesn't need the drama she and her mouth would bring to Deep Six . Even as his brain said no way though, his damned white-knight complex forces him to offer her a job as his temporary secretary.

Realizing he's made a huge mistake hiring her, Dave calls in favors to get her interviews to get her out of his office. Before he can get rid of her though, Dave gets a new case only Susan can help him with. A wealthy Dallas oilman and his trophy wife ordered a designer baby from a local fertility clinic, and the surrogate has gone missing with the baby. The couple wants Deep Six Security to investigate the facility and find the baby, but the only way Dave can do that is to get inside. To get inside his only option is to go undercover with Susan, posing as a wealthy married couple looking for a baby. What they find when they get to the spa-like compound is frightening. Payoffs, missing surrogates and young women being used as lab rats are just the tip of the iceberg.

Can two alpha personalities, both used to being in charge, work together long enough to figure out what's going on at the clinic, or will they kill each other before the bad guys at the facility have a chance? If they're lucky, perhaps the delicious friction between them will turn into something so hot the place spontaneously combusts, or maybe if they're luckier it will turn into something which might just last till death do them part.

Excerpt:

“Leave,” James repeats. The word sweeps over the boys surrounding me like an icy cold breeze from the asscrack of Antarctica. He’s really got the serial killer vibe going on. Even I have to resist the urge to jump up and run for the hills. I don’t blame my harem for scattering, leaving me sitting exposed and undefended on the counter, at the mercy of James Reid.

I point at him. “You scared away my harem.”

“Those guys were looking at you like you’re a piece of meat.” His tone is thick with disgust.

“Technically I am a piece of meat. Plus bones and stuff. Also, don’t you think that’s a bit hypocritical?”

I expect him to scoff at this, to shrug it off or deny it. Instead he cuts his eyes away from me. “I’m sorry,” he says finally. “I shouldn’t have jump—”

“Jump-started my car for me,” I interrupted loudly, fully aware that Sigrid is straining to listen in on our conversation, even if she is across the room. “You’re right. You should have just let me take it to the shop. Some things should be done by professionals.”

A ghost of a smile traces its way upward from the corners of his lips. It’s the first time I've seen him smile, and damn, is it dangerous. I swallow and look away. “Although—even though I know that I shouldn't have let you near my car, and you’re definitely not coming near it again, you don’t need to apologize. At the time, I really wanted you to jump-start my car.”

My phone buzzes. I glance down. A text from Iris. Think of a better euphemism. You’re not being subtle.

“Did you just say I’m not a professional?” he asks, leaning one-handed on the counter so that his thumb is bare inches away from my thigh. He’s close enough to count the goose pimples that appear on my skin.

“Definitely an amateur,” I smirk.

His hand inches closer. “Why don’t you call me next time your car needs some work done and I’ll show you more of what I’m capable of.”

INDELIBLE A NEW LIFE SERIES NOVEL
BOOK 5
Blog Tour Hosted By

What do you do if you discover the life you’re living isn't the one you were meant to have?
Tori Farrell’s path has been a long one. She was raised by a Motorcycle Gang called the Dragons, trained as an assassin, and lived by the sword in a world consisting of drugs, sex, violence and murder. She made her escape, and even successfully thwarted a second attempt to draw her back in.
Returning to her safe new life, Tori faces unforeseen challenges, as the discovery of her Rock Star relation, Brian Madson, gives way to the desire to have the life she was born to live. Haunted by fear, and caught in a fierce battle between her husband and brother, she must learn to accept her dark past and face her future boldly. The FBI and The Organization still linger in the shadows, and time is creeping forward, pushing her to choose. Which path will she take, and where will it lead, when she is forced to decide between destiny and fate”

Anyone who knows me could tell you, I am a friendly kind of person, never met a stranger and take up conversations any where at any time. I work hard, and my mind never seems to shut down, as I wake up often in the middle of the night with ideas pouring out and demanding to be dealt with. Of course that means much of my books were written in the middle of the night.
I grew up and still live in the great state of Texas where everything is bigger, where we have warm weather and a central location. I love my state, my town, and my family, which includes my four sons, my significant other, and many friends as well.
I have thoroughly enjoyed writing the books that are currently available and hope you will enjoy reading them just as much. And of course, there will be many more stories to come.

Character Interview

What is your name?  Tori Farrell

Do you have a nickname?  Baby Girl

What is your hair color?  Dark brown, almost black

What is your eye color?  Blue

How old are you? 24 years old

Where were you born?   I don’t know… I was taken as a child and don’t know much of anything about where I came from

Where have you lived since then?  I grew up in Brazil, and I lived on the road with the Dragons for 5 years .

Where do you currently call home?  I live in Texas with my husband, Michael.

What is in your refrigerator right now?   Fruits, meats and cheeses, with a large pitcher of water and a half gallon of milk

What is on your bedroom floor?   Carpet

What is on your nightstand?    A switchblade knife and a 9 mm pistol… well under it or in it really…

What is in your garbage can?    Ordinary stuff

Who are the people you are closest to?  My husband, Michael and my best friend, Trish

Who is your funniest friend?      Lindsay (Lins), although I haven’t seen her in over a year

What is your biggest fear?      That my friends and family will pay for my past

What is your most treasured possession?      I don’t treasure things… I treasure people

What or who is the greatest love of your life?    Michael is my soul mate; he is the man I am meant to build my life with…

What is your favorite journey?       I have been on a journey all my life; what I want most is a place to call home, without the fear of losing it

Which living person do you most despise?        Warren La Buff, who hates me for who I am, and cannot seem to give me a chance

What is your greatest regret?           That I did not try to help Henry, and I let him die in front of me

Which talent would you most like to have?      It’s not a talent, but the thing I would like to have most is the chance to have a family of my own; the ability was taken from me years ago, and I would give anything to have it back

What is the quality you most like in a man/woman?     I love the fact that Michael knows and loves who I really am; he is accepting and kind, and wants what is best for me and for us

What do you most value in your friends?       Honesty; there is nothing I despise more than a disloyal or dishonest person, and always want to avoid those people… and being one of those people

Who is your favorite hero of fiction or in real life?    Henry is my hero, for all that he did and endured for my sake

Which living person do you most admire?      I admire Enrique; through all that we have been through, he has been the dearest of friends, the hottest of lovers, and a man I can count on to be there for me, even when he can’t call me his own

Which words or phrases do you most overuse?     I am more likely to be silent, than to overuse a phrase… any phrase

What is your motto?    I always tell myself… “Come on baby girl… you can do this!”

Michael trudged on towards his current home, the one he and Tori had restored before she went away. Making it into the house, he began to strip, looking forward to the hot steamy cascade. 'I’m so glad we bought the tankless water heater.' He had suggested it for her, knowing how much she loved her showers, but tonight, he was going to enjoy the hell out of it.
.
As soon as he was clean, he leaned the top of his head against the wall, allowing the water to wash over his tired muscles. His mind unwinding, he thought about his wife; 'I miss her so much. I wish I had some word on how things were going, or when I could expect her home.' Images of her flittering about in his head, he rested his hand against the wall where he often held her, allowing the idea of her beautiful nakedness to distract him for the moment.
.
Standing beneath the spray for a good 20 minutes, he finally decided he had had enough. Using the towel to pat himself dry and give his sandy brown curls a good tussle, he slipped into the bedroom to put on his clothes and find something to eat. 'Damn. I don’t even want to go back down to the café, and it’s probably past closing anyways.'
.

Glancing over at the clock as he pulled on his jeans, he confirmed the time. 'Yup, I missed dinner. Oh well, got a couple of steaks in the fridge, I might as well cook me one of those.' Pulling on his shirt, he froze, listening intently. 'What the hell? That sounded like my wife, calling my name!' Reaching the bedroom door, he bolted out into the hall, his heart pounding out of control.

Ruin By Lucian

Ruin Revelations by Author Lucian Bane
Paranormal Romance
Ruin 2 cover
Ruin is a being sent to Earth to Judge and Execute. At least that's what he thinks. In this part of the journey, he must tear down Isadore's walls that are perverting his judgments. But with every bad judgment comes a price to be paid. And if Ruin doesn't get a hold of his powers, judgment is coming for them.
Lucian' Bio
I'm not normal.
Now that the elephant is out of the room, let's get to know me a bit. I started out writing quirky Vanilla erotica with BDSM sprinkled in the mix and while I had an important message I felt necessary to convey about the dark and mysterious lifestyle, it is not my choice of genre to write in. Turns out Paranormal Romance seems to be. I just felt that click when I caught the inspiration, the promise of hidden worlds explored. Like when you're shopping for the perfect running shoes, and you find them and think, here they are. I can run forever in these. That's what the paranormal feels like, only a pen, in my grip. I can write forever with this.

Excerpt 18+
“Why are you wearing those, it’s not that bright in here.” “What, my shades? It’s bright to me. You don’t like my shades?” She sounded shocked. “I don’t like not seeing your eyes.” She gave him a smile that reminded him of everything he really needed not to think about until he dealt with that wall. “You like my eyes?” She kept that irresistible smile as she drove with gusto out of the parking lot. Flowers and funerals popped into his mind when she skidded to a stop just before slamming into a passing vehicle. “Yeah, can I drive?” “What? Why?” She popped the clutch and the truck darted out onto the paved road. “I just want to drive, I need to learn.” She laughed a little and shook her head. “Come on, you can do it.” “I can do it?” “Yes, you can trust me.” “Trust you behind the wheel of a vehicle when you’ve never driven?” “You know I learn fast. I haven’t even driven and already I can drive better than you.” She choked out a laugh. “I’ll prove it to you, pull over.” “No, I’m not pulling over! I’m a great damn driver!” “Watch it!” Isadore jerked the wheel and narrowly missed a head on collision. “You did that! Stop talking to me while I drive!” “Pull over.” Isadore slammed the brakes and bags hit the floor. She gasped as she pulled off the side of the road. “You’re making me!” “Yes, I am. I don’t feel like dying before I do whatever it is I’m supposed to do on this planet.” “You cannot just do that JD!” “Don’t call me that or you’ll find your tongue obediently sealed to the roof of that pretty mouth of yours.” Another gasp. “I don’t know who or what you think you are, an-an, a supernatural being—” “Oh, I’ve been demoted.” “Demoted? What—” “You were about to call me an angel then changed your mind. You said an-an then went with ‘a’ because supernatural doesn’t go with ‘an’ like ‘angel’. And by your jealous God, do not lie to me.” Ruin got out of the truck and headed to the drivers side. He opened her door and she sat there with her jaw hanging still, and oddly enough, Ruin’s body recalled her mouth in that position when he sucked her pretty clit. He let out a gasp and lowered his head, amazed with the amount of heat the thought slammed him with. “Move over Isadore.” “Or what?” Power rippled through him as he brought his gaze up. Harness it. “Isadore?” Her jaw clamped shut and she yanked her shades off and let him see her eyes, see how angry she was. He’d be glad when she remembered what a fucking turn on that was with him. Oh wait. She did remember. And was provoking him. He jabbed a finger at her. “You are begging me take your clothes off and open those pretty legs and bury my mouth between your perfect lips, aren’t you?” Shock, fear, and desire replaced her anger and Ruin nodded at seeing it, satisfied with that correct reaction. She scooted over quickly. “This is like rape you know,” she hissed. “Forcing people to do things is wrong.” “Yeah?” Ruin climbed into the vehicle, oddly familiar with the feel as he shut the door and put on his seat belt. “I’ll remember that next time I force some bastard to stop hurting you.” “Now, that is different!” “How?” “This is not life and death!” He angled a humored look at her. “You distracted me!” “You’re reckless. Now put your seat belt on.” Ruin checked his mirrors and waited for her to obey then tore out. “Ohhhh my God, I’m reckless?” she shrilled, holding on to the door. “Yes, you are. This is me going the speed limit.” “In five seconds?!” “It doesn’t say how long you have to take to get to that speed.” “It’s not safe!” “Isadore, I’m sorry for making you stop but you shouldn’t be behind a wheel in your condition.” Her rage kicked in and it hit Ruin’s cock with a painful throb. “What condition!” He tapped his temple. “Your wall sweetheart.” “Do not call me that you motherfucker! That is not a condition that is… that is… not a condition. “What is it then?” “Probably you.” “Me? God you’re killing me, stop.” “I’m killing you? You’re eyeballs have walls in them, not my brain!” she rapped a finger on her temple. “Isadore, I’m telling you, warning you, your anger is too much for me.” Ruin quickly rolled down his window to get away from the smell of her fury. When had it become the greatest weakness linked to his cock? “My anger is too much for you?” “Stop repeating me and calm down.” “I will not fucking calm down, how about you stop this damn truck now, I’m not going another fucking kilometer with your ass.” Ruin slammed the breaks, sending bags flying to the floorboard again. He pulled off the road, undid his seat belt, and pulled Isadore to him by the legs. “Take off your fucking clothes, now.”

MANscapes Blog Tour By Manuela Cardiga

MANscapes Journey into the light
By Manuela Cardiga's

Blog Tour

About MANscapes
" All women - from the most exquisite beauty to the plainest drab - want to believe in the Cinderella myth. Even the harsh-faced and sour-hearted, somewhere deep in their night-time struggles with their bitterest reality, dare to dream some Prince could still see past the dense veil of unkind nature and time, to the delicate, frail-hearted beauty within."

But Clara wasn't Cinderella, waiting for her Prince, she was Sleeping Beauty poisoned by a deadly kiss. After 24 years Clara awakens from a living nightmare of abuse and discovers her life unfolding miraculously; but the true miracle is her own blossoming: the maturing of a frightened abused girl into a strong woman capable of love, laughter and joy. In Tahiti's exotic landscape Clara finds her way from darkness to incandescent light, embracing in herself the strength of choice, and the power of decision.

MANscapes is a powerful parable of hope and renewal, a story of one woman's discovery of herself and her journey into love.

Manuela Cardiga was born in Mozambique and raised in South Africa where she studied fashion design. She moved to Europe where she worked as a fashion designer, then moved to the crazy world of advertising as a graphic designer and copywriter. Manuela is a designer by profession, a cook by vocation, and a writer by compulsion. She currently resides in Lisbon, Portugal where she writes contemporary and historical fiction, designs book covers, illustrates children’s books, and mothers a gorgeous daughter while juggling a day job. She also dabbles enthusiastically in exotic, experimental cuisine, much to the discomfort of family and friends.

One day something changes. A chance encounter, a word spoken in passing by a stranger, and Clara awakens. Wakes and takes charge of her life. She frees herself of the nightmare and of her oppressor, but can she heal herself of the scars years of abuse have left on her spirit?

Determined to continue her interrupted journey, Clara goes to Tahiti to fulfill her childhood dream and “paint like Gauguin”.

On the magical island of Moorea, Clara enters a world of endless possibilities where she starts to blossom as a woman, and an artist. There, Clara meets the right man, and falls in love with the wrong one…

A return to Lisbon gifts Clara with vindication, closure, and triumph over her abuser, and yet her trials have just begun. She is about to discover the path of life rarely runs smoothly, and before she can reach for happiness, Clara must grow.

WHEN WERE YOU FIRST BITTEN BY THE WRITING BUG?

When I started reading. I was four years old.

WHEN DID YOU FIRST CONSIDER YOURSELF A WRITER?

Oh I don’t. I am a story-teller. I wouldn’t be so presumptuous as to consider myself a writer. I am hopefully learning...

DO YOU HAVE A SPECIFIC WRITING STYLE?

No, as a matter of fact, this novel is completely different to the previous one. That was a romantic comedy, and this is a much darker book. I think I tell the story in the character’s voices and each one is so different!

WHAT DO YOU WANT YOUR READERS TO GET OUT OF YOUR NOVELS?

Love.

WHAT ARE YOUR CURRENT PROJECTS?

It’s a secret…

DO YOU SEE WRITING AS A CAREER?

A career? No. It’s a life’s work; it’s a compulsion, a need.

WHO DESIGNED THE COVER?

Well, actually, I did, I designed it.
There is a story to this cover. I had a childhood friend, a very gifted artist living on a tropical island, and I had always loved this particular painting of his, and so I asked him for permission to use it, and his response was that he felt it wasn’t good enough…

But I insisted, and it turned out incredably beautiful. I sent him the final artwork for MANscapes, and he loved it. Unfortunately three days later, my friend tragically passed away.

In a way, I feel this book has become a tribute to him. Not just because of the cover, but because the story is about an artist finding her way home on a tropical island… Journeying into light. As he did.

WHAT WAS THE HARDEST PART OF WRITING YOUR BOOK?

Living Clara’s anguish, her struggle to leave her pain behind, to grow.
I felt it, every bit of it: the oppression, the agony, and the ultimate achievement when she becomes a free human being. It was terrible and incredible. It was exhausting.”

WHAT DID YOU LEARN FROM WRITING YOUR BOOK?

So much! I am still learning how to write. I told you I am a story-teller, so my “thing” would be sitting in front of someone spinning a yarn. This writing is something I am still learning…

DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE FOR OTHER WRITERS?

Be passionate about what you do. Tell the story for yourself, not an audience, not the critics. Do it because you have a story that needs to be told; because you can’t help yourself.

DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING SPECIFIC THAT YOU WANT TO SAY TO YOUR READERS?

Clara’s story is not unique. There are many Claras out there. Many women are living in the hell of abuse, afraid to walk away because it’s all they know.
Take that first step out of darkness. Once you do, you will be surprised to find the light meets you halfway. Life is not punishment, we all deserve happiness; but it’s not going to fall into your lap.
You need to fight for it.

The thing is, once you do act, decide to fight? Something incredible
happens: life, the universe –whatever you want to call it – steps into your corner. But you have to choose. The essence of effective living is choice. We choose.

Not all your choices will be right, not everything will work out. But it is YOUR choice, YOUR life. You will no longer be a passive victim things happen to; you will be a survivor, someone who makes things happen, who decides, takes charge and responsibility for her own life.

And remember, the only power anyone has over you, is the power you yield.

WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR SOMEONE WHO WOULD LIKE TO BECOME A PUBLISHED WRITER?

Submit, submit, submit, submit again; then submit yet AGAIN. Never give up.

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO ADD?

Please live. Don’t just survive from day to day. Make every moment worth remembering. You don’t need to do huge things, change the world.
Just make every day worthwhile.

Whatever you do it with it love, be passionately in love with living.
Whether it’s making a meal for your family, punching tickets, writing law; whatever it is, do it with love. Don’t take a single moment for granted.
