All Hallows Night Blog Tour!

blog
All Hallows Night by Marie Hall Series: Night Series, #2 Publication Date: March 8, 2014 Genre: Urban Fantasy
AllHallowsNight
Synopsis:
Secrets and truths, lies and red herrings… which is which? That’s what Pandora’s trying to figure out. Ever since the death of her best, and probably only friend by her own hands, she’s not sure who to trust anymore. The Priest is dead. The Gray Man is… she’s not even sure what. Luc, well, Luc is Luc.
The Order has sent her deep into the heart of Mexico to investigate a potential zombie uprising. She arrives at the start of the Dia de los Muertos festival—a celebration for the dead and immediately things don’t feel right to her. For one, bodies (the living kind) keep disappearing. They’re not being kidnapped, no, if only things were that simple. Literally there one second, gone the next, she’s not sure what to make of it. On top of that mum’s are floating all over the place. Is that merely symbolism associated with the festival, or is it a clue of something far more sinister?
In this explosive sequel to the USA Today Bestselling, Crimson Night, an old ally returns and a shocking truth is revealed. One that will turn her investigation into The Order’s duplicity on its head and make Pandora question everything she ever thought she knew…

Teaser1-AHNI’d meant to ask around town, see if any of the locals knew of or had heard about any recent or strange deaths, but I was a stranger to them. A gringa (white face), they wouldn’t trust me enough to answer me. Part of Lust’s glamour was that I could turn myself into the walking embodiment of anybody’s deepest desire, but doing so also required that I had sex recently. A sort of tit for tat kind of arrangement. But since that night and the possession of my third soul, Lust wasn’t working so well for me anymore. My desire for sex was practically nil. Luc was the first person I’d slept with since waking from my semi-coma, and even that had left me empty and cold. I knew I should be a lot more worried than I actually was—I dunno, maybe Lust was still in shock after our stint in Hell. Meeting Wrath had done things to Lust, screwed with her head. She was like a whimpering, terrified dog tucking tail and hiding in a corner, and there wasn’t much I could do to bring her out.
Teaser2-AHNSo I had to do this sleuthing thing the good old-fashioned way. Being as old as I am, you get a feeling for people. The outer shell might be different, but the inside was always the same. If I wanted to find what I was looking for, I had to go someplace designed to loosen tongues and get men talking. Get a man drunk enough and he’ll tell you anything you want to know.Opening the door to the first dive I found in town, I entered and stood just inside as my eyes slowly adjusted to the dim lighting.

about author

Marie Hall is a New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author who loves books that make you think, or feel something. Preferably both. And while she's a total girly girl and loves glitter and rainbows, she's just as happy when she's writing about the dark underbelly of society. Well, if things like zombies, and vampires, and werewolves, and mermaids existed. (Although she has it on good authority that mermaids do in fact exist, because the internet told her so.) She's married to the love of her life, a sexy beast of a caveman who likes to refer to himself as Big Hunk. She has two awesome kids, lives in Hawaii, loves cooking and occasionally has been known to crochet. She also really loves talking about herself in the third person.

Choose Us by Caylie Marcoe Blog tour

SYNOPSIS

Travis Grayson is my best friend—and I’m his. It’s been like that for the last fifteen years. I would do anything for him, go anywhere for him…and I have, countless times. Except now, now he’s asking for too much. Our friendship has reached a breaking point and I don’t know how to go back.

When he decided to go pro in the BMX circuit, I traveled with him as often as I could and was always the most supportive best friend I could be. When I graduated college and he asked me to be his personal assistant, we spent every waking moment together. We never fought or argued, in fact, our friendship was stronger than ever.

But a fractured ankle has put his career on hold and has given him more downtime than he knows what to do with. Always one for excitement, he agrees to become the bachelor on a televised dating show. He only agreed to do the show, if I would come along and go undercover to help him weed out the girls. Reluctantly, I agreed to give up my eight weeks of freedom.

Now I’m stuck in hell surrounded by girls desperate for his attention. He promised me this show would be smooth sailing. He promised he would listen to my advice on which girls should be eliminated. Except now he’s breaking those promises. He’s stopped listening to my advice and I’m afraid he might be falling for the worst girl here.

I shouldn’t care. Except, there’s one girl here that I’m realizing I don’t want him to eliminate. There’s one girl who I want to see go all the way to the end, and I want Travis to choose her.
That girl is me. I’m pretty sure I’m falling in love with my best friend and it looks like he will break my heart in front of the entire world on national TV.

EXCERPT
“Riles. Riles wake up!” My shoulder was being shaken so hard I thought it was going to dislocate.
“Mmm, five more minutes.” I groaned, rolling to get out of the horrible grasp.
“Riles, you don’t have five minutes! It’s 7:30. You need to get up and get back to the house!” This time I recognized Travis as the shoulder nudging culprit.
“Trav, go away.” I threw my arm out, hitting him in the jaw.
“Doll, I can’t go away when I have to be at the house in an hour!”
Wait, did he say an hour?
I shot up, rubbing my eyes against the bright light streaming through his bedroom windows.
Shit, I had fallen asleep in his bed. Now I had to find some way to sneak back into the house, with all the girls awake. Double shit.
“Trav, you weren’t supposed to let me fall asleep!” I whined, crawling out of bed. “How am I supposed to get back into the house undetected?” I walked over to his windows, throwing my hair up into a messy bun at the top of my head.
I peeked through his curtains and could see the main house just through the trees. People were moving about throughout the house. I turned to the other window which looked directly out to the pool.
“Nice view you have here.” My voice dripped with sarcasm. I could make out two figures drinking coffee out on the patio.
Crap, getting back there under the radar was going to be next to impossible.
“Trav, how am I going to get back there?” Groaning, I followed him into his kitchen.
“I don’t know. I uh…” Travis glanced around the kitchen trying to come up with a plan. His eyes landed on something and he broke into a smile. “That’s it.”
I looked down to what he was staring at and laughed. “My shoes? What genius plan did you come up with using my shoes?”
“You went for a morning run. You can go out my back door. There is a pathway that leads to the beach and isn’t seen from the house. You can run back up to the house on the beach. No one would know!” He was getting super excited about this plan, except there was one major flaw.
“Travis, I don’t run. You know this!” My arms were flailing wildly around, trying to make the point.
“The old Riley Logan didn’t run. The new Riley Logan, who all these girls know, does.” He popped that damn cocky grin on his face.
“I just want you to know, I hate you,” I mumbled, resigned to putting my shoes on. I really didn’t have an option and he knew it. He came up with the best plan we had, and I’d have to follow through.
“If by hate, you mean love. Then yes, yes I know.” Travis led me to the back door of the house and opened it, making sure the coast was clear.
I punched him in the arm before heading down the path to the beach.

“If I die from this thing you call running, it’s all on you,” I yelled lowly over my shoulder. Travis’ laugh followed me as I made my way down to the beach.

AUTHOR BIO

Born and raised in the frozen tundra of Wisconsin, Caylie fell in love with reading at a young age. With her lively imagination, she created numerous stories in her head throughout her childhood and teenage years. Finally at 16 she sat down at the computer and wrote out her first full length novel. That pacified her for a time. However, the stories kept swimming through her mind. Finally in 2013 she typed out Chapter One of three different novels and sent them off to a close friend for review. At her friends advice, she started exclusively writing Choose Us. When she isn’t slaving away at the keyboard, Caylie is an avid reader, and lover of coffee… copious amounts of coffee. She also has an unhealthy addiction to tv shows—binge watching is her favorite.

She chases her two kids around the house all day, and has a husband whom she adores.

BOOK BLAST: The Girl In White Pajamas By Chris Birdy

Bogie McGruder returns to Boston after his brother, a cop, is gunned down on the street. Since the Boston police are investigating the death of one of their own, Bogie believes his trip will be a short condolence visit and a chance to meet his secret love child.
Although Bogie wants to contact his ex-lover, Bailey Hampfield, he’s reluctant to do so since Bailey dumped him four years earlier. Knowing that Bailey had his child after she cut him loose, Bogie thinks it’s time to establish a relationship with the three year old daughter he’s never met. While he considers his options, Bailey gets in touch with him and asks for protection. Someone is trying to kill her.
Bogie doesn’t want to get involved in the BPD investigation into his brother’s death, but he continues to be drawn into it while trying to discover who is attempting to kill Bailey Hampfield. The investigations seem to parallel each other, then intersect and become intertwined. As the story develops, Isabella, a precocious child obsessed with martial arts, slowly becomes the focus.
The underlying theme of this fast-paced mystery is lies. Everyone seems to be running on lies and half truths. The only true character is The Girl in White Pajamas.

Chris Birdy was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After graduating from high school, she did a four year stint in the Middle East. When she returned to the States, Chris settled down in the Boston area and became a true Bostonian by collecting college degrees while raising a family. For more than twenty years, Chris has been a member of the legal community performing investigative work for Boston law firms. Chris lives outside of Boston and in Palm Beach, Florida with her husband.

3  BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS
Two small figures sat on a couch in a house eleven miles outside of Boston.  The
tiny Cambodian woman wiped a tear off her cheek with a shaky hand.  The little girl with
a mass of red curls took the woman’s other hand.  “Don’t be scared, Kim!  I’ll protect
you.  You’ll feel better tomorrow.  Remember when Fluffy was hanging from the tree?”
The child lifted her right arm in the air and dropped her tongue out of the side of her
mouth to illustrate her point.
Kim nodded.
Isabella continued, “You told me I’d feel better tomorrow, and I did.  I was still
sad but not so scared.”
They sat in silence staring at a TV screen.  The small woman grabbed the little
redhead’s hand again as The Bride used her sword to slice off the arm of O-Ren’s lawyer.
Blood gushed from the gaping hole, and The Bride moved on to slay and maim the Crazy
Eighty-Eight Army.  “This is Lucy Liu,” Kim said softly.
The child nodded as they watched their favorite part:
The Bride confronts O-Ren and O-Ren says ‘Silly rabbit.’
The Bride answers, ‘Trix are for—’
O-Ren finishes, ‘kids’.
20
Isabella giggled and Kim smiled.  Then they watched the screen mesmerized as
the warriors had a fight to the death.
No one paid attention to a vehicle that stopped in front of their house on this
isolated road.  As the car slowly drove away, the woman and little girl sat transfixed on
the couch surrounded by moving crates and boxes with a large bag of potato chips, a tub
of French onion dip and two juice boxes sitting between them–the breakfast of
champions.
