Lieutenant Declan Kavanagh is a powerful Navy SEAL and a force to be reckoned with. His commanding presence exudes strength, dominance, and power. The moment he accidentally knocks into the beautiful Kristie Rossi and sends her crashing to the ground, he knew he had to have her.

Doing her best to avoid the handsome Lieutenant at every cost, Kristie finds that fate has other plans as she finds herself needing his help more often than not. Will she give in to the promise of forever with the handsome Navy SEAL and finally allow his desire for her to be satiated or will she close the door on their passion?

                                                                  Christina Gallo

Stepping into a world away from the realities of the humdrum, with a glass of wine, candles, and a great romance novel is Christina's prescription for serenity. Romance novels, though revered as a woman's fantasy to the alpha male, men will find themselves secretly reading these novels in the hopes of becoming an alpha.

The ultimate goal of my writing is for women to enjoy the fantasy and for men to realize that chivalry is not dead.

”What would you like to tell everyone about you that they wouldn't already know from reading your books?”
I’m a homebody and actually live vicariously through my books. I like to go out occasionally, but the truth is there is nothing more I love in this world than spending time with my family. My dream is to one day buy a house with lots of property and start a rescue for as many unwanted animals as possible.
Can you tell us your latest news?
I really wish I could but I’m working on a couple of different projects right now. Details will be released as the time gets closer to the release dates of these projects.
”When were you first bitten by the writing bug?
My son had a school assignment that I helped him with. I then attempted to write a children’s book but got stuck in the middle because it became to adult, which is when I realized I should write romance.
When did you first consider yourself a writer?
I first considered myself a writer when I posted my first story on wattpad and it became an instant hit. People started reading my work and began to follow me on social media.
What inspired you to write your first book?
The lack of romance in this world inspired me to write. If you haven’t noticed, I’m a hopeless romantic. I figure if I write it, he will come.
Do you have a specific writing style?
I always like to work with a strong alpha male who is attracted to the same qualities in a female.
How did you come up with the title?
Hmm, when it comes to choosing titles, I sit down and brainstorm on a piece of paper until I’m satisfied.
“What do you want your readers to get out of your novels?”
Romance comes in a variety of ways. All you have to do is open your heart and open your eyes. Fate is always giving signs.
“Is the book mostly fantasy or do you think these situations could actually happen?”
 Anything is possible.
Now I love music just as much as reading, I normally listen to music while I am reading. Do you think that you characters have theme songs? What would they be?
Honestly, sometimes I listen to music but most of the time I sit in silence and just let my imagination do the work.
“Are the experiences fact based or from your imagination?”
A mixture of both.
What books have most influenced your life most?
Harry Potter, Chronicles of Narnia, all Johanna Lindsey books played a part in my reading and desire to write.
“Which other authors do you feel have had the most influences on you as both a reader and a writer?”
J.K. Rowling, Johanna Lindsey, Nora Roberts
What book are you reading now?
Unfortunately I’m not reading. I’m working on my next book and trying to finish my work on wattpad.
”Have there been any authors that interest you by their writing styles or subjects?”
I always enjoy reading a Jackie Collins book! That woman can write.
What are your current projects?
Wicked Awakenings, Wickedly Right for Me.
Do you see writing as a career?
I would love to see writing as a career. Time will tell.
If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book?
Not sure.
Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?
Wicked Awakenings will be filled with drama, reflection, and some growing pains.
Who are your three favorite authors and what is it that really strikes you about their work?
J.K. Rowling – her ability to pull readers of all ages into her books. The world she created makes me sad that it really doesn’t exist. “Hey Ms. Rowling, I’m still waiting for my invitation to Hogwarts….” Jackie Collins – Her Hollywood Wives and Lucky are up there with favorite books. She can pull the reader in and keep us all entertained. I couldn’t put her books down and suffered many book hangovers.  Johanna Lindsey – is one of my all time favorite romance writers. Her books pull me in and keep me turning pages. Love her.
“Have you done any promotional tours for your books?”
No. I haven’t.
Who designed the covers?
Given Up On Love and Give In To Me were designed by Miky Merisi – an Italian photographer. His Wicked Pleasure was designed by Dragonfly Press Design.
What was the hardest part of writing your book?
Cutting out all the fluff from my original work. I had way too much and went to the chopping block. Oh the horror. Some characters and scenes, sadly, didn’t make the cut….
“What did you learn from writing your book?
I learned a lot about Navy SEALs and am so impressed over their discipline that my head is still spinning. (Thank you so much for your service and sacrifices.)
Do you have any advice for other writers?
Don’t let negative comments or reviews get you down. So many authors have quit because of the negativity. Just keep writing we can’t please everyone.
Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?
Thank you so much for your support, it means so much to me.
Which comes first? The character's story, or, the idea for the novel?
The idea of the novel, character names, and plotting or just writing out my story.
What advice do you have for someone who would like to become a published writer?
Research as much as you can. Grow a backbone and thick skin because it’s a jungle out there.
Is there anything else that you would like to add?
Writing is a passion of mine and hopefully with each story I will grow as a writer and gain more readers.
I just want to say thank you so much for taking the time to answer these for my readers and I. I look forward to seeing more work from you in the future.

Pulling up to the restaurant, Kristie turned off the engine and looked into the mirror. She reapplied her lipstick and added a dab of her favorite perfume. Slipping out of the car, she fumbled with her keys as she dropped them and her phone into her purse. Her body bounced off of a very hard surface and she tumbled to the ground; her purse...and all its contents...flying through the air.

Her eyes focused on black shoes and slid up the trim body of a very large man. As her eyes slowly rolled up his body, she noticed muscular thighs, a trim waist, and broad shoulders. The moment her eyes locked with his, her heart rate accelerated and her hands began to sweat as she stared into one of the most handsome faces she’s seen. His dark brown eyes seemed to devour her causing her to feel like a deer in headlights. He looked as surprised as her as he stood there with an odd look on his face

“Kristie,” yelled Lorie as she and Daniella watched everything from the opposite side of the sidewalk. Helping Kristie up, Lorie asked, “Are you okay?”

Standing there watching everything, Daniella whispered with excitement in her voice, “Um, don’t look now, but that man can’t seem to take his eyes off of you, Kristie.”

Declan couldn’t believe his eyes as he stared at the vision on the ground. Surely that woman couldn’t be real. There was no way. He glanced again and swore he saw an angel before him as her golden blonde hair blew lightly in the spring breeze. Squeezing his eyes shut, he opened them again and felt his head spin as his racing heart caused momentary paralysis. Unable to move, he stood there with his mouth open as his brown eyes drank in the vision before him.

“Dude,” Paul nudged him after he made his way over to where Declan stood. A look of disgust filled his face. “What the hell just happened?”

Running his fingers through his hair, Declan turned and watched one of the most beautiful women he’d ever seen walk away. Not able to say anything coherent, he stood there like a first class boob and just stared at her.

Following Declan’s eyes, Paul groaned, “You knocked that woman down and just stood there. What the hell is wrong with you? You look like the worst kind of person.”

Rubbing his eyes while he got his breathing under control, Declan attempted to find his voice and muttered, “I don’t know what happened to me, its like a pod person took over my body and rendered me motionless. I couldn’t move, couldn’t think, couldn’t speak; I just froze up.”

“Froze up? How does one just freeze up like that? Is she hurt?” asked Paul with concern.

“How should I know? I was the idiot that just stood there with my mouth hanging open.”

Looking at his best friend, Paul shook his head and started laughing, “You can take down an entire enemy squad but one tiny woman has you frozen; she actually rooted you to the very spot you’re standing in.”

“Dude, did you happen to get a look at that girl?” Declan asked, his voice a squeak, which made him cough to clear it.

Folding his arms across his chest, Paul growled, “There were three of them, or did you miss that too? One girl had long brown hair with caramel highlights and hazel eyes. If I guessed her age, I’d say she would be around twenty-four years old and was approximately five feet, eight inches tall. The other girl had medium length, light brown hair and the most amazing blue eyes I’ve ever seen. I’d say she was either twenty-three or twenty-four and was approximately five feet, six inches with an amazing body.”

“Three?” asked Declan cutting off his friend as he turned to see if he could find the little goddess. Regret and disappointment flooded through him when he realized she was gone.

“Let’s go before you cause any more trouble,” barked Paul as he led his friend to the same restaurant that he’d watched the three girls walk into. “Please, do me a favor. If we ever run into that girl again, don’t act like a classless boob; you have manners, use them.”
