Excerpt 1:
No way in hell the chick sitting across from him was the boss. Damn, she could be swinging around a stripper pole, bringing in plenty of cash. While her lips smiled, her eyes didn’t and a sense of nervousness swept over Sven. What was he doing here? Sure, she didn’t hold any true power over him, but wasting his time was bad enough.
A number of trophies dotted one shelf, and he wished he could get up and take a look around the room in order to get a better picture of who he was dealing with.
“What brings you here today, Mr. Stephenson? I know you applied through a local job ad.”
The leading question didn’t bring him in the right direction. Sure, he knew what was going on behind the scenes.
“Well, the job ad intrigued me,” he said. “I’m a fast swimmer. Best in nationals, back home.”
“Swimming?” She cocked her head to the side, as if trying to figure him out. “I’m not quite following where swimming is coming from as part of the interview.”
With a shrug of his shoulders, he paused a few beats before replying. “It’s just that I can maneuver places others may not be able to. When I don’t know, I learn fast, and I’m multitalented.”
She leaned forward, and probably didn’t realize she was giving a mighty fine view of her cleavage “And how do you expect this ‘talent’ of yours to help you here?”
“Listen, you’re looking for someone to do a job. The ad was pretty explicit, and it caught my interest. I’m graduating from college soon and need to explore the, ah, opportunities out there. Do I want to make ten dollars an hour as a manager at a hotel, or would I rather, potentially, bring in a higher salary doing something a little on the edge?”

Thanks so much for having me here, Ashley! *settles down and looks around*
Can you tell us your latest news?
Four releases this month. It’s pure insanity, and I don’t suggest it. It always seems to happen this way. In addition to this naughty retelling, I was a featured author in the Halloween Spank or Treat anthology, with a F/F witchy pairing. Another F/F short released in the anthology Sapphic Smut, and yes it’s smutty good!
Finally, there’s that “super-secret” project – my first inclusion in a box set – that comes out Nov. 18.
When were you first bitten by the writing bug?
I’ve written for as long as I could remember. I penned Garfield poetry at 7, and served on the yearbook staff in junior high and high school. Fortunately, I’ve always known what I wanted to do, and have been able to do it.
When did you first consider yourself a writer?
Honestly, after a close friend and co-worker died from a brain aneurysm. He was a writer, and had talked of being an agent (and representing my books). It pissed me off at his funeral when they called him an “aspiring writer.” Dammit, just because he wasn’t published … so mentally, I remember making that distinction in college.
Do you have a specific writing style?
I like to think I do. I write primarily contemporary and paranormal erotic romance. My line is “Loves Knows No Bounds,” because I move around in pairings between M/F, which is The Thief & His Master, to F/F, ménage, and a little M/M, too. The love interest totally depends upon the inspiration and the characters. As planned, my next Beyond Fairytales is a F/F.
As for how I write, I’m a pantser – writing by the seat of my pants. I often have a direction the story will go in, but the how they get there can be a mystery.
How did you come up with the title?
For the Beyond Fairytales line, the assigning editor gives you a random tale. The Thief & His Master is the name of the original Grimm’s tale, and it was too good to change.
What do you want your readers to get out of your novels?
Enjoyment. I read as an escape, to be taken into another world. I tend to like to read novellas these days because I don’t get a lot of free time. Probably why I write many of them, too.
What book are you reading now?
I bought Anne Rice’s Prince Lestat. I’m not quite reading it yet … after NaNoWriMo.
What are your current projects?
It’s November, and I’ve jumped into the craziness of NaNoWriMo. I’ve working on a piece that’ll hopefully be out next February for the 50 Shades of Romance conference, where I’m speaking on “Kink for the Vanilla Couple.” The book is a ménage, and features characters from my Sex University series.
Do you have any advice for other writers?

Join writer’s groups. Writing can be solitary. Having someone to support – nag – you can be vital. I don’t get it home. The husband doesn’t always understand that passion, so you need to get it elsewhere.

Now for the fun part
